IN ANGELS WE TRUST

Arc Angels - you may have heard the name. These are our legendary team of volunteers who make a real difference to the runners' experience. They are one of the stand out features of any Arc of Attrition race.

Think you've got what it takes to provide excellent customer care and heaps of motivation in the depths of a winter ultra race? Then read on.

Whether it's helping at one of our many aid stations, ensuring our runners are well fed and hydrated, or following the course to ensure each participant is looked after, there's a role to suit everyone. You could be helping with the race start at the Minack Theatre, or providing assistance at Porthtowan to our incredible finishers, and lots of places in between. Wherever you are located, you'll be surrounded by other enthusiastic and passionate volunteers who love the South West and want to showcase true Cornish community spirit at its best!

Volunteers will be required from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 January 2025. There will be a variety of roles to suit all abilities and levels of previous volunteering experience. To join our team of Arc Angels you will need to complete the sign-up form (link below).

EVENT CREDIT CONDITIONS

*Event credits are awarded at a rate of £10 per hour of volunteering. This does not include travel time to the venue. E.g. completing three 8-hour shifts (total 24 hours) during the event will earn you £240 in event credits. Event credits are specific to the volunteer and are non-transferable. Event credits are distributed as a thank you for volunteering – they are not exchangeable for cash. Event credits must be redeemed at the time you purchase your registration and cannot be applied at a later date. Event credits are non-refundable should the volunteer change their mind about using them on a particular competition or cancel their registration. Event credits will be issued as a set value which can be used as full or part payment towards registration. Volunteers are recommended to redeem their event credits as early as possible to secure their competition registration at the cheapest price and while entries are available.

**Event credits expire after 12 months and are no longer redeemable (i.e. you must inform UTMB UK within 12 months of earning your credits if you wish to redeem them). For example; event credits earned at Arc of Attrition in January 2025 will be valid until January 2026. During this 12 month period registrations will open for Ultra-Trail Snowdonia 2025, Arc of Attrition 2026 and Ultra-Trail Snowdonia 2026 which a volunteer can chose to redeem their event credits as payment towards their entry. Unused event credits will be removed from your balance after 12 months.
